Cosmos on Hulu 3/23/09

Now that I’ve added a blog, I keep forgetting it exists. I’m sure it will be baby steps before I actually get into a good pattern of posting, but I’ll give it a shot.

Anyway, back to the subject of this posting, Cosmos is now available on Hulu. Cosmos, in my mind, is the best educational series ever produced. Carl Sagan is a master of explaining scientific concepts. What’s more, he imbues science with a kind of mythical storytelling normally reserved for the realm of religion. Through his writings, his role on Cosmos and even his work as a scientist, he showed that science was much more than dry facts and boring experiments. Science, at its core, is based on wonder and discovery and the pursuit of truth. Something that Sagan epitomized and shared with the world through Cosmos. Check it out.
